It’s swim day!
Even though I was sick I was still determined to make it to swimming. I spent the morning doing a light workout and sitting in the sauna in hopes that my stuffiness will open up a little bit. The sauna did help a bit which made me very hopeful.
After work I headed out to Uxbridge where I met up with my friend Patty, who will be attempting to coaching me with my swimming. Patty was my gymnastic coach from when I was a teenager, she had always been someone I could go to for guidance and support. With her experience and knowledge in swimming, her goal was to help me improve my form to be more efficient and to gain confidence in the water. I was really happy I was able to overcome my sickness, cause I didn’t want to let her down and cancel our first real lesson.
I must of been running on adrenaline cause once I got into the water I feel so much better. After swimming a few laps Patty was able to point out a few bad habits that I need to improve on. By the end of the lesson I felt like my swimming was a lot easier.
This day has ended on a positive note and I feel more hopeful that I will be ready for the 2020 Ironman 70.3.
